2. Discipline Policy / Code of Conduct

2.1 Expected Behavior

  • Maintain discipline, punctuality, and respect for peers, staff, and community.

2.2 Prohibited Activities

  • Bullying, discrimination, substance abuse, academic dishonesty, or misuse of technology.

2.3 Disciplinary Action

  • Counseling → Warning → Parental Meeting → Suspension → Expulsion (for severe breaches).
  • Restorative practices help students reflect and improve.

2.4 Positive Reinforcement

  • Merit certificates, awards, and leadership roles for exemplary conduct.

3. Homework Policy

  • Supports self-learning as emphasized in NEP 2020.
  • Age-appropriate load:
    • Primary: 10–20 min/day
    • Middle: 30–40 min/day
    • Secondary: 45–90 min/subject as required
  • Teachers give constructive feedback and avoid overburdening students.
  • Parents are encouraged to guide, not complete tasks.

4. Assessment & Examination Policy

4.1 Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE)

  • Following HBSE’s system of formative and summative assessments.
  • NEP-aligned focus on conceptual understanding over rote learning.

4.2 Examination Rules

  • No unfair practices; violations lead to strict consequences.

4.3 Feedback & Promotion

  • Progress reports are given every term.
  • Promotion based on overall performance, attendance, and teacher recommendations.

5. Leave & Attendance Policy

  • Minimum 75% attendance mandatory.
  • Leaves require a written request; medical leave is supported by certificates.
  • Uninformed absences may affect grades and promotion.
  • Students must catch up on missed work proactively.

6. Digital Usage / IT Policy

  • Promotes safe and responsible use of digital tools as per NEP’s digital education focus.
  • School internet & devices are strictly for learning purposes.
  • Cyberbullying, hacking, or accessing harmful content is prohibited.
  • Personal devices must be used only with teacher permission.
  • Students are educated on data privacy and cyber ethics.

7. Library Policy

  • Free access to resources; students may borrow 2 books for 14 days.
  • Handle books with care; damaged/lost books must be replaced.
  • Silence is mandatory inside the library.
  • Reading initiatives (book fairs, author sessions) encourage reading habits.

  • Policies are reviewed annually in line with HBSE circulars and NEP updates.
